Pierre Allain

16.10.2024 — 20.10.2024
Paris

Allain’s presentation explores the different modes and limits of perception through sound, sculpture and drawing. Utilising materials found in cinema, machinery, and medicine, Allain questions the way in which information is recorded and filtered. The repetition of gestures continues his interest in invisible and mental phenomena affecting the human body, rendering the booth a place of rumination and uncertainty. The works on view offer no resolution to the present emptiness – instead, they are a vibration in the space.

Pierre Allain (b. 1998, Nantes) is based in Paris. Recent and upcoming exhibitions include CAPC Musée d’art Contemporain de Bordeaux, Bordeaux (2024); Cherry Hill, Cologne (2024); Petrine, Paris (2023); Frac Île-de-France, Romainville (2023); Frappant e.V., Hamburg (2023); 67e Salon de Montrouge, Montrouge (2023); Galerie Tator, Lyon (2023); CAP Saint-Fons, Saint-Fons (2022); and Kunstverein Bielefeld, Bielefeld (2022).
